The Hollies, Animals & Johhny Cash Among September re-issues

Sundazed Music is releasing 5 new re-issues from the swingin’ 60’s in September.

Johnny Cash is getting his 2 LIVE classic prison albums (At Folsom Prison & At San Quentin) pressed on 180 gram “true stereo” vinyl.

The Animals are getting thier 5th M~G~M studio album called “Animalizm” re-issued on 180 gram in  “true stero” also. This album was partially recorded in Los Angles and was actually supervised by Frank Zappa. Though it had no top 40 hit singles, it is considered their strongest work and this album flows really well. Eric Burdon just smokes on Smokestack Lightning. Case Closed.

There are 2 other British Invasion releases coming out by The Hollies. They are the first 2 Imperial Records albums. Both are re-issued here on 180 gram in original MONO instead of the “fake stereo”. Please note that these are the U.S.A. versions, not the U.K. ones (they had different covers and different tracks).

Here I Go Again was a big hit for them, but this 1st album (titled “Here I Go Again”), also has their other hit, the cover of Doris Troy’s “Just One Look” (also covered in fine fashion by Linda Ronstadt). The other tracks on this album are mostly covers for filler.

The 2nd album called “Hear! Here!” is (to me) a much stronger album. It has the wonderful “I’m Alive” & “Look Through Any Window” with harmony vocals that usally rock me outta my chair. Again, this album has cover versions for some filler as was common practice in the 60’s

That’s Sundazed September for now folks
